NYS Lottery Rules and Regulations
1) A person is deemed a participant in the NYS Lotto Pool once their contributions into the NYS Lotto Pool are received.
2) Participants acknowledge that by making contributions, they have read, understand, and agree to all rules and regulations with participating in the NYS Lotto Pool for the applicable drawings in which they are playing.
3) Participants acknowledge they are limited to the purchases of $5 plus PayPal transaction fees of $.46. per contribution. Participants can make multiple $5 purchases, each transaction requiring the participant to pay an additional $.46 in PayPal transaction fees that will be listed as shipping charges. Once contributions have been made to the NYS Lotto Pool towards use in a New York State or Mega Millions Lottery game, the participant can not rescind that contribution.
4) Participants acknowledge that if contributions are made under an alias, or invalid identity, the contributions made on behalf of the alias or invalid identity will remain in use for the initial purchase of the lottery tickets. The person submitting the contributions for themselves and the alias’s or invalid identity’s will be removed from calculation of winnings. Contributions made under an alias or invalid identity will not be refunded.
5a) Participants acknowledge that contributions received for the New York State Lottery from 12:01am EST Saturday before Wednesday’s drawing and 11:59pm EST Tuesday before Wednesday’s drawing will be used towards that Wednesday’s drawing only. Participants acknowledge that contributions received for the New York State Lottery from 12:01am EST Wednesday before Saturday’s drawing and 11:59pm EST Firday before Saturday’s drawing will be used towards that Saturday’s drawing only.
5b) Participants acknowledge that all New York State Lottery tickets will be purchased using the “quick pick” computer automated selection method. Participants acknowledge that they will be able to access scanned copies of the New York State Lottery tickets only thru the NYS Lotto Pool website at http://www.nyslottopool.com no more than 6 hours from the date and time in which the lottery drawing is to occur. Tickets for Wednesday’s 11:21 pm EST New York State Lottery drawing will be posted on the NYS Lotto Pool website by 5:21pm EST on the day of the drawing. Tickets for Saturday’s 11:21 pm EST New York State Lottery drawing will be posted on the NYS Lotto Pool website by 5:21pm EST on Friday, the day of the drawing.
6a) Participants acknowledge that contributions received for the Mega Millions from 12:01am EST Friday before Tuesday’s drawing and 11:59pm EST Monday before Tuesday’s drawing will be used towards that Tuesday’s drawing only. Participants acknowledge that contributions received for the Mega Millions from 12:01am EST Tuesday before Friday’s drawing and 11:59pm EST Thursday before Friday’s drawing will be used towards that Friday’s Mega Millions drawing only.
6b) Participants acknowledge that all Mega Millions Lottery tickets will be purchased using the “quick pick” computer automated selection method. Participants acknowledge that they will be able to access scanned copies of the Mega Millions Lottery tickets only thru the NYS Lotto Pool website at http://www.nyslottopool.com no more than 6 hours from the date and time in which the Mega Millions Lottery drawing is to occur. Tickets for Tuesday’s 11:00 pm EST Mega Millions Lottery drawing will be posted on the NYS Lotto Pool website by 5:00PM EST on the day of the drawing. Tickets for Saturday’s 11:00 pm EST Mega Millions drawing will be posted on the NYS Lotto Pool website by 5:00 pm EST on the day of the drawing.
7a) Participants acknowledge that contributions received for the Powerball Lottery from 12:01am EST Saturday before Wednesday’s drawing and 11:59pm EST Tuesday before Wednesday’s drawing will be used towards that Wednesday’s drawing only. Participants acknowledge that contributions received for the Powerball Lottery from 12:01am EST Wednesday before Saturday’s drawing and 11:59pm EST Firday before Saturday’s drawing will be used towards that Saturday’s drawing only.
7b) Participants acknowledge that all Powerball Lottery tickets will be purchased using the “quick pick” computer automated selection method. Participants acknowledge that they will be able to access scanned copies of the Powerball Lottery tickets only thru the NYS Lotto Pool website at http://www.nyslottopool.com no more than 6 hours from the date and time in which the lottery drawing is to occur. Tickets for Wednesday’s 11:21 pm EST New York State Lottery drawing will be posted on the NYS Lotto Pool website by 5:21pm EST on the day of the drawing. Tickets for Saturday’s 11:21 pm EST Powerball Lottery drawing will be posted on the NYS Lotto Pool website by 5:21pm EST on Friday, the day of the drawing. The Powerball Power Play multiplier will not be used.
8) Participant acknowledges that circumstances may arise in which tickets can not be purchased in time for respected drafts due to illness, family emergency, or death. In light of extreme circumstances in which tickets can not be purchased, contributions will be rolled into the next available drawing, and qualification in calculating winnings will carry over as well.
9) Participant acknowledges that winnings will be allocated evenly on a pro-rata basis, dividing the total winnings by the percentage of total pooled contributions received based on the receipt time of their contributions as explained above.
10) Participants acknowledge that winnings will only be allocated evenly to all participants if the payout to all participants exceeds the amount of $1.00 or more. If even calculation of winnings is less than $1.00, the winning balance will be rolled into the next drawing.
11) Participants acknowledge that if they are part of a group’s winnings that is below the $1.00 threshold for even payout distribution that they will not be automatically included in the next drawing, and must register for the next drawing to be included as a valid participant.
12) Participant acknowledges that they must provide their first name, last name, date of birth, home address, email address, and telephone number for obtaining any winning payout of $1.00 or more. Upon large sum payments that would be processed by the NYS Lottery, participants also acknowledge that they will be contacted by the NYS Lotto Pool to obtain photocopy of a driver’s license or identification card and SSN card. Participants must be legal US residents.
13) Participants acknowledge that upon winning the top prize in a drawing, the lump sum payment option will be used. This in non-negotiable.
14) The owner of NYS Lotto Pool will claim winnings under the group name of “NYS Lotto Pool” under Employer Identification Number 27-3543311.
15) Participants acknowledge that this agreement is temporary, designed solely for the drawing in which their contributions were received for, and is not constituted as a Group Lottery Subscription. Participants acknowledge that if their contributions are not deposited into the bank account for Aaron Anderson, owner of NYS Lotto Pool, prior to the closing period in which contributions are accepted for a drawing that results in winnings, that their contributions do not qualify for that drawing, and would be applied to the next drawing. Participant acknowledges that this can not be disputed should the drawing in which the contributions were intended for be a winning drawing in which the participant would have benefited.
16) Participants acknowledge that this agreement also represents protection from Aaron Anderson, owner of NYS Lotto Pool, from misuse of funds designated towards New York State Lottery and/or Mega Millions Lottery games. Contributions made to the NYS Lotto Pool will be used for the sole purpose of Lottery Gaming, and will not be retained for profit or personal use, or use in any other manner.
